the age of newly found information
the age of newly found information
for Bill McKibben
We look at an entire day of mindless human activities across the globe. Patterns emerge from a dense threshold of noise...
- Toothbrushing -- A ritual practiced daily -- using a special artifact, paste, and rhythm. There is intimate hand/mouth connection.
- Animal functions – Like eating and sleeping. These may be done alone, but like toothbrushing, constitute a global shared experience (GSE). For example, you actually sleep with millions of people every night. Across the globe. Quite a few of them are naked.
- Commuting: Of the nearly 7 billion residents of the earth, how many are caught in traffic right now?
- Bad thoughts -- Bad thoughts are a global shared experience. Its widely believed that bad thoughts occurring at the same moment, anywhere, are connected.
